NIGERIA AND THE POSSIBILITY OF DISINTEGRATION BY 2015

Nigeria won't disintegrate if...--House of Prayer leaders
BY IKENNA ASOMBA
As America's predictions for the disintegration of Nigeria by 2015 continue to rent the air, leaders of House of Prayer International Church (HPI), Lagos, have opined that the various ethnic groups making up the nation have no cause to part ways, if only they are all being carried along in government's programmes.

Speaking at the 50th Joint Service of the Western District Council of HPI, Elder Silas Ibekwe, Chairman, HPI Editorial Board and the Editor, Apostle Nick Oguaju averred that only the practice of true tenets of Democracy, where resources are equitably distributed and the various ethnic regions carried along in government's programmes will tie the country together beyond 2015.

Elder Ibekwe said: “Nigeria is an amalgamation by our colonial masters in 1914, and in an amalgamation, after 100 years, the people (various ethnic groups) are allowed to sit together to decide if they want to be together or part ways. However, it's not my wish that Nigeria should disintegrate, but my candid opinion is that government should carry along the various ethnic groups in its programmes. If what is given to Peter is given to Paul, I don't think there would be agitations by any ethnic nationality to part ways.”

On his part, Apostle Oguaju opined that “this prediction may come true, if the true tenets of democracy is not imbibed by Nigeria's political leaders. Moreso if the marginalization of one ethnic group continues, ethnic groups are not carried along in terms of equitable distribution of the country's rich resources, I think the prediction is bound to come true.”

In the meantime, amidst the rising spate of terrorism and killings culpable of tearing the nation apart, Chairman of the district, Apostle Emma Nnabuike, had earlier posited that “the world is devastated because the people have failed to obey the commands of God. If people will believe and obey God's commands, worshiping on a particular day as he commanded, amongst other divine laws, I'm of the view that peace will reign in the world. After all, Isaiah 24 vs.5-6 told us that the earth is being punished, because people have defiled it by breaking God's laws and violating the covenants he made to last forever.”

On his take about the possibility of a disintegration by 2015, Nnabuike said: “My take is that let the will of God be done. We have no right if God destines it to happen. However, if the disintegration will cause bloodshed and loss of lives and properties, I would pray that the all-knowing God don't allow it come to pass.”

In the same vein, the cleric advised Nigerian youths seeking admission into tertiary institutions to take up courses that will imbue in them one vocational skill or the other. This, he own to the fact that white collar jobs are no longer readily available for them after graduation, which largely contributes to their indulging in various crimes.

His words: “Although, the unemployment syndrome is not peculiar to Nigeria alone. It's all over the world. However, as daily reported by the media, its rate in the country is quite alarming and our youths are swiftly taking to all forms of crimes to get themselves busy. This is not a good decision by any youth. My candid advice is for the youths to turn to God for survival, because he who lives by crime and other acts of violence die by violence according to Proverbs 1 vs. 19.”

Asked why the church observes it's Sabbath Day on Saturday, Elder Ibekwe, a senior officer of the Nigerian Police Force said: “My happiness is that whatever we do here today, has already been instituted in the Bible. God made his creation works for six days and on the seventh day, he rested. And he mandated mankind to also rest with him on this same day. That's what we are living by. We are only following the steps of Jesus Christ, but it's unfortunate that even though Jesus Christ observed this day in Luke 4 vs. 16, Mark 2 vs. 27-28, many ignorant teachers in the Christendom still posit that Christ has nailed God's own sacred commands on the cross. This is an aberration,” he argued.

MAN'S UNIVERSAL GUILT AS THE END TIME APPROACHES

BY APOSTLE TIMOTHY ASOMBA

When in the beginning, God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate; the raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness and the power of God was moving over the water... God then commanded, “Let there be light” and there was light.

The bible recorded that God was pleased with what he saw, then he separated the 'Light' from 'Darkness.' The light he named 'Day' and the darkness 'Night'- (Genesis 1vs.1-5).

Arguably, the foregoing exemplifies what God saw, before he instituted and established his holy and life-enriched laws, commands and ordinances for mankind to obey and have life in abundance. Thus, the law is light and obeying it brings life, while disobedience to the law brings darkness.

All scriptures is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may fully be equipped to do every kind of good deed (2 Timothy 3vs.16-17). As we engage in this scriptural exercise, we hope to teach the truth, rebuke errors, correct faults and give instructions for right living.

Man's universal guilt simply has been the constant disregard for God's sacred laws and everlasting covenants, despite the coming, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to redeem the new covenant.

The Genesis

Before the law was codified (handed written) on Mount Sinai, God Almighty had always spoken orally to mankind. The oral command given the first man and woman, Adam and Eve “not to eat the fruit of the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and bad” exemplifies this fact- (Genesis 2vs.16-17)

When man disobeyed God's oral command by eating of the fruit, God's punishment was not far-fetched. God's pronouncement of judgment marked a watershed in the sufferings and non-eternal existence of mankind to this day, even though it was not God's will for man to taste suffering or death (Jeremiah 29 vs. 11).

As the oral command failed to sink into man's mind, heart, soul and spirit, the need for a codified law became expedient. Thus, at Mount Sinai, the LORD came down from heaven; spoke to his people and gave them good Laws and sound teachings. You taught them to keep your Sabbaths holy, and through your servant Moses you gave them your Laws (Nehemiah 9 vs. 13-14).

Analyzing the above script and taking cognizance of the underlined

  1. God's Laws were codified (handwritten) and handed over to mankind at Mount Sinai, so that man won't deny acknowledgment of the Laws (Exodus 19 vs. 1-3; Exodus 20 vs. 1-17).
  2. Through God's servant Moses, the sacred Laws, amongst which is the 7th Day Sabbath were given to mankind (John 1 vs.17)

As a matter of fact, man's universal guilt which has unfortunately lingered till this day, is foolishly proclaiming as old and obsolete, God's good laws and sound teachings by the coming, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Saddening, is the fact that this heretic proclamations emanate from various so-called exalted pulpits. Own to this, God's anger is today, revealed from heaven against all sin and evil of the people who prevent the truth from being known.

God Almighty punishes mankind, because what can be known about God is plain to them, for God himself made it plain. Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities, both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made. So those people have no excuse at all! (Romans 1 vs. 18-20).

When Adam and Even broke God's oral but stern command, a sacrifice was made to purify them of their guilt. This fact is exemplified by the animal skin used by the Creator to cover their nakedness (Genesis 3 vs. 21).

However, being an omniscient (all-knowing) God, Christ the lamb was already chosen and preserved before the creation of the world and revealed for man's sake in the last days (1 Peter 1 vs. 20-21). Even though the grace (man's unmerited favour) was given to man through Christ (John 1 vs. 17), man through his constant disregard for God's sacred Laws makes this grace a 'DISGRACE' (Hebrew 10 vs. 28-29).

Why the rampant death?

Daily, death toll increases all over the world. As at the time of writing this paper, the Nigerian media reported incidences of deaths, injuries and pains caused by a suicide bomber who attacked a 'First Day Sabbath Observing Church.' As this has become a recurring decimal across the globe, it becomes expedient to state that the earth has turned a restless and desolate place, because man has defiled it by violating God's covenants meant to last forever, while upholding man made commands.

There's hunger everywhere, battles everywhere, killings everywhere, famines, earthquakes, floods, hatred, kidnappings, whirlwinds, tsunami, hurricane, poverty and other calamitous events across the globe (Isaiah 24 vs. 1). No doubt, all these events are signs of the end time, but not the end time. However, it will be okay, if man can retrace his wrong footsteps and return to God Almighty.

Man should search for the old path, because it gives life (Jeremiah 6 vs.16).

God's covenants desecrated by man

Succinctly, there are several everlasting covenants which God Almighty has made with mankind to last forever. Let's discuss just two from the list below.
  1. The Sabbath
  2. The Religious Festivals
  3. Sacrifice
  4. Destruction of the Earthquake
  5. Day and Night
  6. Circumcision

THE SABBATH

The Sabbath is a special day of rest set aside by God Almighty for the people he created in his own image and likeness to worship and reverence him. Dating back 321 AD, one aspect of man's universal guilt is rejecting God's 7th Day Sabbath to uphold the 1st Day Sabbath.

Without mincing words, biblical records have shown that the only heavenly recognized 'Day of Rest' is the 7th Day Sabbath, which falls on Saturday, according to the Gregorian calendar. It was Roman Emperor Constantine that changed the LORD's 'Day of Rest' from the 7th Day (Saturday) to the 1st Day (Sunday), see The Lord's Day and A National Sunday Law by Jacob M. Teske (1995:18).

Revealing enough, Prophet Daniel had long ago wrote about this in (Daniel 7 vs. 25-27). He wrote: The fourth empire represented by a horn will come with Chariots and horses to oppress God's people. It will try to change God's religious festivals, speak against the Supreme God. God's people will be under his power for 31/2 years. Theological records have it that it was Roman Emperor Constantine that Prophet Daniel wrote about. For he change God's sacred 7th Day Sabbath from Saturday ton Sunday, as enacted at the Laodocean Council in 321 AD.

Having been converted from paganism to Christianity, Constantine compromised God's laws to win more pagans into Christianity. It's also on record that the Roman Catholic Church also introduced pagan-originated religious festivals such as CHRISTMAS, EASTER, ASH WEDNESDAY, GOOD FRIDAY and others into Christianity.

If these festivals were introduced without attaching its relationship to Christ Jesus, it would have been okay. However, proclamations from most self-exalted pulpits that God instituted the Christmas and Easter Sunday to be celebrated by mankind because Christ was born and resurrected on both days is an horrendous heresy.

Not deviating from the sub-topic, it's a reminder that God's punishment awaits those who enjoy in the universal guilt of profaning God's sacred day of rest. Warning against such disobedience, Prophet Isaiah wrote: “Just as the new heaven and the new earth will endure forever by my power, so will my people's names. On every new moon Festival and every Sabbath, people from every nation will come to worship me in the new earth (new Jerusalem), and as they leave, they will see those who rebelled as they are eaten by worms and burnt by the everlasting fire (Isaiah 66 vs. 22-24).

The Covenant Nailed to the Cross

This has been the argument put forward by most religious pundits that God's fair, right and just covenants, which he made to last forever have been nailed to the Cross of Calvary by Christs' death and resurrection. What a heretic fallacy!

The Sabbath covenant was mandated by God Almighty shortly after the creation of heaven and earth (Genesis 2 vs.1-3). So, why must Christ himself abolish this covenant, since he was present when it was handed over to man on Mount Sinai. Yes, Christ was the rock which quenched the children of Israel's thirstiness in the wilderness (Nehemiah 9 vs.15).

Christ's Statements that Debunked Abolishing the Laws

  1. Matthew 5 vs. 17-20: Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teaching come true. Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the law will be done away with- not until the end of all things. So then, whoever disobeys even the least important of the commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be least in the kingdom of heaven... (Matthew 5 vs. 17-20).
  2. When a woman complemented Jesus' mother, Mary 'How happy is the woman who bore you and nursed you,' Jesus said to her: “Rather, how happy are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
  1. Do not think, however, that I am the one who will accuse you to my Father, Moses, in whom you have put your hope, is the very one who will accuse you. If you had really believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me, but since you do not believe what he wrote, how can you believe what I say? (John 5 vs. 45-47).

Note: Moses as underlined means the Law. Jesus only used Personification in the passage. Already, various passages of the scriptures have clarified that the Father has given the son (Christ) the right to judge mankind on the last day (John 5 vs.26-27). So there was no way Jesus could contradict the scriptures. This is a food for thought for those who claim that the divine Laws of God have been abolished by Christ.

  1. You study the scriptures, because you think that in them you will find eternal life. And these very scriptures speak about me! Yet you are not willing to come to me in order to have life (John 5 vs. 39).
  2. The Law of Moses and the writings of the Prophets were in effect up to the time of John the Baptist; since then, the Good News about the Kingdom of God is being told, and everyone forces his way in. But it is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest detail of the Law to be done away with (Luke 16 vs.16-17).

Note: Even those who condemn the sacred and everlasting Laws of God force their way in proclaiming the Good News about the Kingdom of God. What an Irony!

  1. Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it (Matthew 7 vs. 13-14).

Note: Those who are chosen by God as ardent listeners and adherents to the true covenant fully understand how tedious it is to obey the Laws of God. The Laws of Sabbath, Religious Festivals, Purification Laws- abstaining from Fornication, Adultery, Covetousness, Stealing, Lying, Cheating, Unclean Animals, Masturbation amongst others. They seem hard and very few people adhere to them in the world today.

The pertinent question is: Are you among those who have found this gate to life? If Yes, remain firm. If No, have a U-Turn, so as not to be condemned before and after the trumpet blasts (Isaiah 66 vs. 22-24; Zechariah 14 vs. 16-19).

Affirming this true position, Jesus told those who informed him that his brothers and mother were around saying, “Whoever does what my Father in heaven wants him to do is my brother, my sister and my mother” (Matthew 12 vs. 50).

Did Jesus Observe the Sabbath?

Yes of course. See (Luke 4 vs. 16-20). When controversial questions on conduct during the Sabbath came up, Jesus confidently said: “The Sabbath was made for the good of man; not man for the Sabbath! The son of man is the LORD of the Sabbath,” he concluded (Mark 2 vs. 27-28).

Is God's True Sabbath Saturday or Sunday?

The Sabbath was established shortly after the six days of the creation of heaven and earth. Precisely on the 7th day (Genesis 2 vs. 1-3; Exodus 20 vs. 8-11). God's true Sabbath is Saturday, not Sunday. See the references below.

Jesus' Burial

It was Friday, and the Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had followed Jesus from Galilee went with Joseph and saw the tomb and how Jesus' body was placed in it. Then they went back home and prepared the spices and perfumes for the body. On the Sabbath they rested, as the Law commanded (Luke 23 vs. 54-56).

Jesus' Resurrection

After the Sabbath, as Sunday morning was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb (Matthew 28 vs. 1).

The Fall of Manna/Quail

On the sixth day they gathered as much food, four litres for each person. All the leaders of the community came and told Moses about it, and he said to them, “The LORD has commanded that tomorrow is a holy day of rest dedicated to him.

Bake today what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Whatever is left should be put aside and kept for tomorrow.”

As Moses had commanded, they kept what was left until the next day; it did not spoil or get worms in it. Moses said, “Eat this today, because today is the Sabbath, a day of rest dedicated to the LORD, and you will not find any food outside the camp. You must gather food for six days, but on the seventh day, the day of rest, there will be none.”

On the seventh day some people went out to gather food, but they did not find any. Then the LORD said to Moses, “How much longer will you people refuse to obey my commands? Remember that I the LORD, have given you a day of rest, and that is why on the sixth day I will always give you enough food for two days... (Exodus 16 vs. 22-30).

Note: As underlined from the foregoing, it was the LORD, God Almighty that commanded the observation of the 7th day Sabbath. As noted earlier, the narrow way is not easy. That's why observers of this sacred and everlasting covenant have to eat foods that are not steamed on every Sabbath day. Just few people amongst the world's over 7 billion populace adhere to this sacred and everlasting covenant.

However, securing a ticket to the Kingdom of God does not end here i.e. Observing the 7th day Sabbath. True righteousness must be imbibed by any covenant child who must make heaven. For whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all (James 2 vs. 10).

Nehemiah's Reform

Shortly after Nehemiah's reforms, he made this sincere prayers to God Almighty. His words: “Remember, my God, all these things that I have done for your Temple and its worship. At that time, I saw people in Judah pressing juice from grapes on the Sabbath. Others were loading corn, wine, grapes, figs and other things on their donkeys and taking them into Jerusalem; I warned them not to sell anything on the Sabbath.

Some men from the city of Tyre were living in Jerusalem, and they brought fish and all kinds of goods into the city to sell to our people on the Sabbath. I reprimanded the Jewish leaders and said, “Look at the evil you are doing! You are making the Sabbath unholy. This is exactly why God punished your ancestors when he brought destruction on this city. And yet you insist on bringing more of God's anger down on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

So I gave orders for the city gates to be shut at the beginning of every Sabbath, as soon as evening (Friday evening) began to fall, and not to be opened again until the Sabbath is over (on Saturday evening).

I stationed some of my men at the gates to make sure that nothing was brought into the city on the Sabbath. Once or twice, merchants who sold all kinds of goods spent Friday night outside the walls. I warned them, “It's no use waiting out there for morning to come. If you try this again, I will use force against you.” From then on, they did not come back on the Sabbath (Nehemiah 13 vs. 14-21).

Any Further Argument?

From the foregoing, the truth is plain about the true day of rest cum worship. Anything short of that may be regarded as IDOLATORY. Ascertaining this, Jesus admonished a Samaritan woman saying, “You Samaritans do not really know whom you worship; but we Jews know whom we worship, because it is from the Jews that salvation comes...” (John 4 vs. 22).

By this statement, does it imply that Christ, the Saviour of all, is a racist/tribalist? God forbid! What this means, is that anyone who does not abide by the true covenants of God Almighty may think he worships God, but does not.

Corroborating this fact, Christ affirmed in one of his many teachings: “Not everyone who calls me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do. When Judgement Day comes, many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord! In your name we spoke God's message, by your name we drove out many demons and performed many miracles! Then I will say to them, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!' (Matthew 7 vs. 21-23).

Apostle Paul, Others and the True Sabbath

Apostle Paul is a lettered fellow. Owing to his level of exposure and complex style of writing his letters, many unstable Christian believers misinterprete the real message of his writings. From various self-exalted pulpits, Apostle Paul has often times been termed, an ANTAGONIST/CRITIC of the sacred and everlasting Laws of God Almighty. What an Irony!

Having discovered the complexity of Paul's letters and the multiplier side effects on ignorant and unstable believers, Peter wrote: “This is what he says in all his letters when he writes on the subject. There are some difficult things in his letters which ignorant and unstable people explain falsely, as they do with other passages of the Scriptures. So they bring on their own destruction” (2 Peter 3 vs. 16).

The following passages of the scriptures ascertains that Apostle Paul and other Apostles earnestly obeyed the Sabbath covenant- (Acts 13 vs.14; Acts 16 vs. 13; Acts 18 vs. 4; Acts 13 vs. 42-44; Acts 17 vs. 1-4).

Anyone who still upholds the Constantinist First Day Sabbath still wallows in the Universal Guilt of Man, and won't be spared when the Great Day comes (Isaiah 66 vs. 22-24).

If you have ears listen to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches (Revelation 3 vs. 6).

THE RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS

Succinctly, we all know that the Scriptures is inspired by God Almighty; useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults and giving instructions for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed (2 Timothy 3 vs. 16-17).

Having indepthly perused this same Scriptures over the years, we state categorically that popular Christian Religious festivals such as CHRISTMAS, EASTER, ASH WEDNESDAY, ASCENSION SUNDAY, GOOD FRIDAY amongst others are unbiblical. claims from various self-exalted pulpits that they are the commandment of God Almighty is FALACIOUS and thus and HERESY of the highest order.

Historically, these festivals have pagan origins from old Babylonian and Roman colonies. See Babylon Mystery Religion (1981).

For clarity, God Almighty had from the very beginning, instituted sacred religious festivals to be observed by mankind in honour of him. God had commanded that these sacred festivals be observed “FOR ALL TIME TO COME,” i.e till the end of the age. However, it becomes pathetic that mankind has rejected God's own Laws to uphold man made commands. What a shame!

Without much ado, the major sacred religious festivals mandated for man's observance by the Creator are SEVEN. Perhaps, as God is a master planner, the festivals coincides with his sacred number, 7.

Succinctly, the seven sacred and everlasting religious festivals as mandated by the Creator (Leviticus 23 vs. 1-44) include:

  1. The Seventh Day Sabbath: It's always observed without work on Saturdays.

See Old Testament Passages

  1. The Feast of Passover/Unleavened Bread: Falls between mid March and Mid April in the Gregorian Calendar. As mandated by God Almighty, it is to be celebrated on the 14th day of the first month (Nisan/Abib) according to Hebrew Calendar and runs concurrently for seven days.

The essence of this feast is to remind God's people of how he used his mighty hands to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt, the land of bondage and tribulation. It is however, without its own regulations such as presentation of food offerings, fruit offerings, burnt offerings, receiving of the Holy Communion, observing a Sabbath on the First and last day of the feast, amongst others.

See New Testament Passages

Matthew 26 vs. 17-18; Mark 14 vs. 12-17; Luke 22 vs. 7-13; Luke 2 vs. 41-43; John 4 vs. 43-45; John 11 vs. 55; Acts 20 vs. 6; John 13 vs. 1; John 19 vs. 14; John 2 vs. 23; John 2 vs. 13 etc.

See Old Testament Passages

Leviticus 23 vs. 5-14; Numbers 9 vs. 1-14; Numbers 28 vs. 16-25; Deuteronomy 16 vs. 1-8; 2 Chronicles 30 vs. 1-27; 2 Chronicles 35 vs. 1-19; Ezra 6 vs. 19-22; Ezekiel 45 vs. 21-24; Exodus 34 vs. 18; Exodus 12 vs. 1-50; Exodus 13 vs. 3-10; Joshua 5 vs. 10-12 etc.

  1. The Feast of Pentecost (Harvest Festival): It comes up exactly 50 days (seven full weeks) after the last day of the Feast of Passover/Unleavened Bread. God's mandate was for man to annually appreciate him for the fertile land and fruitful harvest he has given (Leviticus 23 vs. 15-22).

However, today, so many ignorant, unstable and self-exalted pulpits have misinterpreted this divine mandate. They blindly hold that the Pentecost is celebrated as the day when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles.
Truly, that the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles on the day of Pentecost was just a coincidence and divine mandate by God Almighty. Recall, Christ had always promised his disciples of sending them the Comforter (Holy Spirit), who will teach them the hidden truth about God, which he (Christ) was unable to teach them (Luke 24 vs. 49; John 14 vs. 15-31; John 16 vs. 4-15).

It's also worthy to state that Prophet Joel had in his days prophesied about this eventual coming of the Holy Spirit on the people of God, when he said: “Afterwards I will pour out my Spirit on everyone: Your sons and daughters will proclaim my message; your old people will have dreams, and your young people will see visions. At that time I will pour out my Spirit even on servants, both men and women” (Joel 2 vs. 28-29).

Since God's words through his chosen prophets must always come to past, any further argument about the exact essence and origin of the Feast of Pentecost must be considered baseless. In the new testament passages below, Apostle Paul was always eager to grace the Feast of Pentecost at all possible cost.

  1. The Feast of Trumpet: According to God's mandate, it's to be celebrated on the first day of the seventh month (Ethanim/Tishri) of the Hebrew Calendar. In the Gregorian Calendar, this feast usually falls between mid September and mid October. Accompanying this sacred feast are presentation of food offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings, wine offerings, a sacred day of rest and blasting of trumpets to signify victory.
See Old Testament Passages

See New Testament Passages

Matthew 24 vs. 30-31; Revelation 11 vs. 15; 1 Corinthians 15 vs. 51-52
  1. The Feast of Atonement: This feast according to God's mandate is to be celebrated from sunset on the ninth day to sunset on the tenth day of the seventh month (Hebrew Calendar). It falls between mid September and mid October. On this day, the children of Israel are expected to fast to atone for their sins, as well as offer burnt offerings, food offerings, grain offerings, sin offerings and wine offerings.

Why Observe This Feast When Christ Has Nailed Our Sins to the Cross?

Like many would ask, Christ has died for our sins, so is there any need for this religious ritual cum festival. This is a pertinent question, but a discourse for another day.

Shortly before Jesus gave up the breath on the cross of Calvary, the scriptures recorded: “Jesus knew that by now everything had been completed; and in order to make the scripture come true, he said, “I am thirsty.” A bowl was there, full of cheap wine; so a sponge was soaked in the wine, put on a stalk of hyssop, and lifted up to his lips. Jesus drank the wine and said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and died (John 19 vs. 28-30).

Today, Christ's last statement- 'It is finished,' before he gave up the breath has posed a lot of controversies in the Christendom. Many think, this statement was aimed at putting all the sacred covenants of God to rest, including sacrifices. God forbid! For the scriptures have already told us that Grass may wither and flowers fade, but the word of our God endures forever (Isaiah 40 vs. 8).

To put the records straight, Christ's coming, death and resurrection were aimed at renewing and strengthening the old covenant which was not initially written in the minds and hearts of men (Hebrew 8 vs. 1-13).

I reiterate, Christ's coming was never to abolish any of the sacred Laws of his Father, but to reinforce them in the minds and hearts of men. This is so that they need not tie the Laws on their arms, wear them on their foreheads as a reminder, or even write them on the doorposts of their houses and on their gates (Deuteronomy 6 vs. 8).

Because the divine Laws have been written in the minds and hearts of men; owing to the fact that the commands are not too difficult or beyond the reach of men; for the fact that the Laws are not up in the sky, men need not ask, “Who will go up and bring it down for us, so that we can hear it and obey it? Nor is it on the other side of the ocean. Men need not to ask, 'Who will go across the ocean and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and obey it? No, the law is here with you. You know it and can quote it, so obey it now (Deuteronomy 30 vs. 11-14).

Surmise us to say that the written Laws in our hearts is the CONSCIENCE within us, which pinches and knocks us whenever we do wrong, but gives us kudos whenever we do right.

That Christ came to re-enforce the old covenant, thus bringing men close to God Almighty is not new. After all, Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah had earlier prophesied about his coming (Isaiah 7 vs. 14-25; Jeremiah 31 vs. 31-34)..

Christ Ordered a Leper to Offer Sacrifice as the Law Commanded

Truly, the coming, death and resurrection of Christ were never to abolish the divine Laws of his Father, including SACRIFICE. If it were/did, why then did Christ instructed a leper whom he healed not to tell anyone, but to run to a priest who will examine him, and then offer the necessary SACRIFICE as the Law of God commanded (Mark 1 vs. 40-44).

Note: This divine instruction was earlier given in the old testament passage of (Leviticus 14 vs. 1-57).

Again, if Christ's coming was to make divine SACRIFICE obsolete, he would have disapproved of his parents, Joseph and Mary who offered a sacrifice of a pair of doves or two young pigeons during his dedication in the Temple of God (Luke 2 vs. 22-24). Perhaps, if he was too young a baby to talk then, when he grew up and began full ministration by 30, he would have condemned their act of obedience.

Paul and Sacrifice

Apostle Paul and the issue on sacrifice must also be brought to the front burner of this discourse. The point being that Paul's letters had over the years, been misinterpreted amongst medieval and modern theologians. This, Peter attributed to the complex style of his letters when he wrote:

This is what he (Paul) says in all his letters when he writes on the subject. There are some difficult things in his letters which ignorant and unstable people explain falsely, as they do with other passages of the scriptures (bible). So they bring on their own destruction (2 Peter 3 vs. 16).

Certainly, the sacrifice offered to take away sins on the day of atonement is an everlasting covenant (Psalms 50 vs. 5).

The Only Unworthy Sacrifice
The only UNWORTHY SACRIFICE which God Almighty do not accept is one offered to any other god. Thus, a punishment awaits defaulters (Exodus 22 vs. 20).

Did Paul Offered Sacrifice?

Yes of course! If Paul had wrote off the offering of any form of sacrifice, why then did he pay the expenses of those men who offered sacrifice to God Almighty in fulfillment of their CEREMONY OF PURIFICATION as NAZARITES- Dada (Acts 21 vs. 23-26).

Perhaps, in his defence before Governor Felix, Paul strongly affirmed: I do admit this to you: I worship the God of our ancestors by following that way (divine Laws), which they say is false. I also believe in everything written in the Law of Moses and the books of the prophets. I do my best always to have a clear conscience before God and man.

After being away from Jerusalem for several years, I went there to take some money to my people to offer SACRIFICE. It was while I was doing this that they found me in the Temple, after I had competed the ceremony of purification... (Acts 24 vs. 14-18). What a wonderful way of clarifying misinterpreters of his stance in all his letters!

One of the most controversial of Paul's letters which many ignorant, unstable and self-exalted pulpits misinterprete is his letter to the Hebrews (Hebrews 10 vs. 1-18).

Succinctly, what Paul was trying to buttress in this passage is that the death and resurrection of Christ came to strengthen the divine Law of his Father, thus bringing man once again closer to his Creator. It was to put God's laws in the hearts and minds of men (Hebrew 10 vs.16).

Note, Peter told us that Christ had already been chosen for this same purpose before the creation (1 Peter 1 vs. 20).

Moreso, we were also told by Apostle Paul that “If Jesus was on earth, he wouldn't be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts required by the Law. The work they do is only a copy and a shadow of what is in heaven,” i.e.exactly the same (Hebrew 8 vs. 4-5)

Also note, earlier, Paul had told us that “Every High Priest is appointed to present offerings and animal sacrifices to God, and also Christ, our High Priest must also have something to offer” (Hebrew 8 vs. 3).

Amidst the arguments put forward, it becomes expedient to clarify that Apostle Paul also celebrated the FEAST OF ATONEMENT, perhaps, abiding by all the tenets of the sacred feast (Acts 27 vs. 9).

Christ's death was never to abolish the divine covenants of his Father. Therefore, anyone who preaches a different doctrine is on his own. If you have ears listen then to what the Spirit says to the Churches (Revelation 2 vs. 11).
  1. The Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Shelters/Booths): This sacred festival dates back when the children of Israel were still in the wilderness (Leviticus 23 vs.33-43). God Almighty mandated mankind to observe this feast 'FOR ALL TIME TO COME' (Leviticus 23 vs. 41).

The festival of shelters begins by sunset on the fifteenth day of the seventh month (Hebrew Calendar) and runs concurrently for seven days. In the Gregorian Calendar, it annually falls between mid September and mid October. Like the Feast of Passover/Unleavened Bread discussed earlier, a sacred day of rest is compulsorily observed on the first and last day of this feast.
The scripture affirms that the essence of this feast was to remind the people of God, that the children of Israel lived in simple houses made with palm-fronds, while they were in the wilderness (Leviticus 23 vs. 42-43).

Christ Celebrated the Festival of Tabernacles

See (John 7 vs.2, 14-19, 37-39).

Other Scriptures Upheld it

Leviticus 23 vs. 33-44; Numbers 29 vs. 12-40; Deuteronomy 16 vs. 13-15, Nehemiah 8 vs. 13-18 etc.

Punishment For Not Observing Tabernacles

God had through his servant, Prophet Zachariah warned mankind of the implications of not observing the festival of shelters when he said: “Then all the survivors from the nations that attacked Jerusalem will go there each year to worship the LORD Almighty as King, and to celebrate the FESTIVAL OF SHELTERS.

If any nation refuses to go and worship the LORD Almighty as King, then rain (God's abundant blessings) will not fall on their land. If the Egyptians refuse to celebrate the FESTIVAL OF SHELTERS, then they will be struck by the same disease that the LORD will send on every nation that refuses to go. This will be the punishment that will fall on Egypt and on all the other nations if they don't celebrate the FESTIVAL OF SHELTERS (Zachariah 14 vs. 16-19).

Note: Amidst the incessant calamities befalling man today, this is a clarion call for man to return to GOD Almighty, by obeying his divine, right, fair, just and everlasting covenants.

God's Laws, Not New

This command I am writing to you is not new; it is the old command, the one you have had from the very beginning. The old command is the message you have already heard (1 John 1 vs. 7).

For Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore (Hebrew 13 vs. 8).

We therefore implore you as Jeremiah admonished the people of his days: “Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the Ancient paths and where the best road is. Walk on it, and you will live in peace (Jeremiah 6 vs. 16).

After all, there are some things that the LORD our God has kept secret; but he has revealed HIS LAWS, and we and our descendants are to obey it forever (Deuteronomy 29 vs. 29).

God's Laws, For All

For pundits who may still ignorantly argue that the above mentioned divine covenants are for ONLY THE ISRAELITE, take note of what the Psalmist, David said: “You are righteous, LORD, and your Laws are just. The rules that you have given are completely fair and right (Psalms 119 vs. 137-138).

The Psalmist also wrote: “The Lord is our God; his commands are for all the world. He will keep his covenant forever, his promises for a thousand generations (Psalms 105 vs. 7-8).

For those of you, who are already participants of the divine covenants, tarry not! because people mock you. Remember Christ's admonition: “Everyone will hate you because of me. But whoever holds out to the end will be saved... (Matthew 10 vs. 22).

CONCLUSION

As the end time draws nigh, man's universal guilt had been his outright disregard for God's divine and sacred LAWS. It's time to make a U-TURN. If you have ears listen to what the Spirit says to the Churches (Revelation 2 vs. 29).

SHALOM!

THE LORD'S REAL DAY OF WORSHIP AND OTHER CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN THE CHRISTENDOM

THE WAY OF TRUTH
Go through and do the will of God, you will be blessed and heaven will be yours
THE LORD'S DAY OF WORSHIP

The Sabbath was instituted by God right from the creation of heaven and earth and all that is in them. In six days, God created the universe, while on the seventh day he rested.
Jesus was with the father in the creation period; Jesus and his Father are one. (John 1 vs. 1-3), both came down on Mount Sinai and spoke to their people and gave them good laws and sound teachings, they taught the people how to keep the Sabbath holy (Nehemiah 9 vs. 13-14). So when Jesus came on earth, and because he was part of the institution of Sabbath, He observed the Sabbath on every of the holy days (Luke 4 vs. 16). He also attended all the sabbatical feasts (Luke 2 vs. 41-42, John 7 vs. 2, 10, 14 and Luke 22 vs. 7).

He does this because it is hereditary, because they made it so. It is law and a command passed unto man through him and his father. Remember, he said, I do not come for the abolition of the law but for the fulfillment of it (Matt. 5 vs. 17), i.e. carry out the task of keeping the law. For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me (John 6 vs. 38, 7 vs. 16- 19) he had never been rebellious.

He said, I do not speak on my own authority, but on the authority of thy father who sent me and he commanded me on what to say and how to say it, I know that his command leads to eternal life, so whatever I say is just what the father has told me to say (John 12 vs. 49-50). So if you love me keep my commandments (John 14 vs. 15) which Sabbath is one of them as the fourth commandment, and not Sunday as assumed by most Christians. Because Sabbath has been a blessed and hallowed day, most of his miracles took place on that day (Matthew. 12 vs. 9-13, John 5 vs. 7-11, John 9 vs. 13-14) etc.

The Lord's commandment which is the Ten Commandments (Ex. 20 vs. 3-17), which is the law and as a true Christian you have to obey all the laws just as Christ did (John 15vs. 10-11). Remember, my brethren that the seventh day rest (Sabbath) is one of the Ten Commandments and God ordained it as a special day of worship. So mind you if you keep all the commandments and fail to keep the Sabbath you are guilty of breaking them all (James 2 vs. 10) whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all, for the one who said do not commit adultery also said do not kill at the same place remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy (Exodus 20 vs. 8-11, 31 vs. 12-17, 35 vs. 1-3).

If you do not commit adultery but do break the holy rest (Sabbath), you are a transgressor of the commandment (James 2 vs. 10). So whoever breaks even the least of the commandment and teaches others to do same will be least in the kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 5 vs. 19). It is the same commandment that Jesus handed over to the rich man that came to him, “the man asked Jesus what good things must I do to gain the kingdom?" Jesus replied, “do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness against thy neigbour, honour your father and mother, love your neigbour as you love yourself and remember the Sabbath-day to keep it Holy (Matthew 19 vs. 17-19).

Here, Jesus is creating awareness of the necessity of making Heaven. Cursed is he that does not obey the law (John 7 vs. 49). So, if truly you want to enter life, keep the commandments (Matthew 19 vs. 16-19). If you are a good follower, you will follow your master in every inch of his footsteps and never disobey.

Christians today in fact are rebellious, because Christ, whom they claim to be their Lord and personal saviour obeyed every bit of his father's commands. He said if you obey my command; you will remain in my love; just as I have obeyed my father's command and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy shall be complete (John 15 vs. 10-11).

He also said, "For I do not speak on my own authority, but the father who sent me have commanded me on what to say and how to say it, I know that his command leads to eternal life, so whatever I say is just what the father has told me to say" (John 12 vs. 49-50). But know that he did not come for the abolition of the law but to fulfill it (Matthew 5 vs. 17). He is the Lord of Sabbath and also a Sabbatarian (Mark 2 vs. 28, Matthew 12 vs. 8, Luke 4 vs. 16, Mark 6 vs. 1-2, and Mark 1 vs. 21). It is said in Hebrew that "there remain then a Sabbath rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rest from his own work, just as Christ rested from his. Let us then make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fail by following the examples of disobedience, for the word of God is living and active, sharper than two - edge sword, it penetrates even to dividing souls and spirit, joint and marrow, it judges thoughts and attitudes of the heart, nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight; everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we will all give account (Hebrew 4 vs. 9 -13).

Instead of the Sabbath which is Saturday the seventh day, they rather chose Sunday the first day of the week, the day that marks the beginning of 'creation'; the worship on the venerable day of the sun adopted by the Catholic Church in 321 AD from pagan sun worshipers of Rome under the reign of Emperor Constantine.

Then, I had another voice from heaven saying "come out of her my people; so that you will not share in her sins and will not receive any of her plagues, for her sins are piled up in Heaven and God has remembered her wicked ways, give back to her as she has given, pay her back double for what she has done, mix her a double portion her own cup; give her as much torture and grief (Revelation 18 vs. 4-7).”

In conclusion, if really you are a Christian, you are warned to come out of her and not partake in her plagues; for her sins are piled up in heaven (Revelation 18 vs. 5). You will know the truth and the truth shall set you free (John 8 vs. 32).

Critically, how can JESUS who said He is the Lord of Sabbath in two bible quotations (Matthew 12 vs. 8 and Mark 2 vs. 28) turn around and say he is no more the Lord of Sabbath but of Sunday, it is hypocritical of Him and He will never say so and there is no biblical backup to prove that Sunday is the day of worship. No matter the reasons given, outside the bible, it’s the beast’s mark.

His rising on Sunday, was not for the purpose of worship. It was written that Christ will suffer and die and rise from death on the third day (Luke 24:44-46. And the third day coincidentally fell on a Sunday, according to biblical and historical records.
However, Jesus never in any portion of the bible mandated his followers to worship him as a Sabbath on the day he rose. 1 Maccabaeus 1:45, Daniel 7:25, Daniel 8:11-12. See Good News Bible.
All scriptures is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults and giving instructions for right living 2 Timothy 3:16.
So, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other Christian bodies across the world should tell their followers the truth; to change for good. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free John 8:32. See Good News Bible. Buy the truth and do not sell it Proverbs 23:23 NIV Bible.

THE LORD
In six days, I the LORD made the Heaven and Earth, the sky, the sea and everything in them, but on the seventh day I rested, that is why I, the LORD blessed the Sabbath and made it holy (Exodus 20 vs. 8-11).

YOU TAUGHT THEM TO KEEP YOUR SABBATH HOLY
At Mount Sinai you came down from HEAVEN; you spoke to your people and taught them to keep your Sabbath holy (Nehemiah 9 vs. 13-14).

SABBATH IS SATURDAY NOT SUNDAY
After the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome brought spices to go and anoint the body of JESUS, very early on Sunday morning at sunrise, they went to the tomb (Mark 16 vs. 1-2, Matthew 28 vs. 1, Luke 23 vs. 54-56, 24 vs. 1)

JESUS IS THE LORD OF SABBATH AND A SABBATARIAN
The SON of MAN is LORD of Sabbath. On the Sabbath he went as usual to the synagogue (Mark 2 vs. 28, Matthew 12 vs. 8, Luke 4 vs. 16, Mark 6 vs. 1-2, Luke 4 vs. 31, 13 vs. 10).

PAUL IS A SABBATARIAN
Paul according to his usual habit went to the synagogue, there during three Sabbaths he held discussions with them, quoting and explaining the scripture (Acts 17 vs. 2-3). He held discussions in the synagogue every Sabbath (Acts 18 vs. 4, 13 vs. 14-16, 42, 44 and 16 vs. 13).

SABBATH IS REAL
There remains then a Sabbath rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rest from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fail by following the example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing souls and spirit, joint and marrow, it judges the thought and attitude of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him whom we must give account (Hebrew 4 vs. 1-13).

ABOLITION OF SABBATH
The abolition of Sabbath began during the reign of King Antiochus Epiphanes in the year 143AD. He marched into the temple of Israel and took away the gold altar, the lamp stand with all equipment, the gold fire pans and all other holy things used in the worship of God. He even went further into forcing them to treat the Sabbath and the religious festivals as ordinary work days (1 Maccabeus 1 vs. 45) - See Good News Bible.

He turned in a rage and tried to destroy the religion of God's people (Daniel 11 vs. 30-32). He will speak against the supreme God and oppress God's people; he will try to change their religious laws and festivals (Daniel 7 vs. 25, 8 vs. 11-12) - See Good News Bible.

No wonder the entire world has been deceived to worship God on the 1st day of the week being Sunday instead of the 7th day (Sabbath) Saturday. He will oppose every so called God or object of worship and put himself above them all, the wicked one will come with the power of Satan and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. So God sent the power of error to work in them so that they believe what is false. The result is that all who have not believed 'the truth', but have taken pleasure in sin, will be condemned (2 Thessalonians 2 vs. 4-12) – See Good News Bible.

                                                THE BIBLE
If you want to buy a bible, buy Good News Bible, it is accurate and complete, best in translation. The word of God is unmixed. Unlike one of the so-called leading translation, believed to be the best in translation, it removed and added in (Acts 12 vs. 4) the scripture says "Peter was arrested by Herod intended to bring him out for trial after the Passover" but it wrote Easter, instead of Passover, likewise in so many other translations, it added and removed.

The scripture said, I warn everyone who hear the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away anything from this book of prophecy, God will take away from his share of the tree of life and the holy city which are described in this book (Revelation. 22 vs. 18-19, Deuteronomy. 4 vs. 2). This Good News Bible was imported into Nigeria by Catholic Church late 70s-80s oh that they had such mind at this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments that it will be well with them and their children for ever (Deuteronomy. 5 vs. 29).

EVIL OF DECEITFUL PASTORS
These end time pastors will come with their wicked deceit, deceiving people with tricks they invented. Jesus in the prediction of His coming said "Watch out that no one deceives you: for many will come in my name claiming to be the teachers of Christ and will deceive many" - Matthew 24 vs. 3. James in his epistle warned: "My brothers, not many of you should become teachers. As you know we teachers will be judged with greater strictness than others. All of us often make mistakes" (James 3:1 – 2) -See Good News Bible.

False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrine (law) and deny the master who redeemed them, and so they will bring upon themselves sudden destruction. Even so many will follow their immoral ways and because of what they do; others will speak evil of the way of truth (so they do to us) in their greed these false teachers will make a profit out of telling you made up stories. For a long time now their judge has been ready, and their destroyer has been wide awake (2 Peter 2 vs. 1 – 4) - See Good News Bible.

These men are not true apostles; they are false apostles who lie about their work and disguise themselves to look like real apostles of Christ. Well, no wonder! Even Satan can disguise himself to look like an angel of light! So it is no great thing if his servants disguise themselves to look like servants of righteousness. In the end they will get exactly what their actions deserve (2 Corinthians. 11 vs. 13-15) - See Good News Bible.

Men of old in their prophecy of the future of these teachers and desires of the people said, time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrines, but follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to made up stories (2 Timothy 4 vs. 3) – See Good News Bible.

They always preach money. My God is not a poor God; He is a rich God. In their acclaimed prophecies, the minister in the church will say: “someone there will soon have a valuable job. Somebody there will be promoted at work place etc. In our own church, the man of God (the seer) will come straight to your seat and tell you exactly what you are experiencing in life and he will tell you solutions to it (Proverbs 29:18) - See King James Version Bible they will tell you anointing and will tell you stories of anointing. They will anoint you and take money from you. Where in the bible did Jesus anoint people and take money from them. They will tell you to sow seed in the church and sowing of seed is everywhere, in the streets, in the market squares and in public places. People sow seed with money and valuable things. After telling a man the story of sowing seed and what he will gain in sowing seed, so the man sowed a seed with his car and now the man regrets his action, the pleasure of the car to the man and his family is gone, they are walking on bare foot.

For there are many converts that rebel and deceive others with their nonsense, it is necessary to stop their talk because they are upsetting whole families by teaching what they should not, all for the shameful purpose of making money. It was a Cretan himself one of their own prophets who spoke the truth when he said Cretans are always liars, wicked beast and lazy gluttons. For this reason you must rebuke them sharply, so that they may have a healthy faith and no longer hold on to stories and human commandments which come from people who have rejected the truth. They claim that they know God but their actions deny it. They are hateful and disobedient, not fit to do anything good (Titus 1 vs. 10-16) - See Good News Bible.

These deceitful pastors will organize a crusade at a place at night and why at night, so that you will not recognize the faces of their trained workers who pretend to be disabled. They will tell you that they will perform miracles, signs and wonders. The blind will see, the lame will walk etc. when their pastor got charged in prayer their trained workers will receive healing. If you go there with your disabled ones they will not receive healing, only to go home with them disappointed. If you go to their houses with your loved ones that are disabled, for them to perform their crusade and TV miracles on them, they will hide and their workers will tell you he is not around.

Sometime in 2002, Nigerian Broadcasting Commission warned strictly that they should stop their so-called miracles, signs and wonders, since their existence they have not seen anybody healed by them. But they insisted in performing their shameless miracles.

The wicked ones will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false miracles and wonders and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. And so God sends power of error to work in them. So they believe what is false. The result is that all who have not believed the truth but have taken pleasure in sin will be condemned (2 Thessalonians 2 vs. 9-12, Matthew 24 vs. 23-24). If you are a member of such churches come out of them because God has already sent out the power of error to work in them, the result is that they will perish for not believing the truth; come out so that you will not perish with them.                                               '
TEACHING ABOUT THE LAW
Jesus said, ”Do not think that I have come to do away with the laws of Moses and the teachings of the prophets, I have not come to do away with them but to make their teaching come true. Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the law will be done away with not until the end of all things. So then, whoever disobeys even the least important of the commandments and teaches others to do the same, will be least in the kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whoever obeys the law and teaches others to do same will be great in the kingdom of Heaven. I tell you then that you will be able to enter the kingdom of heaven only if you are more faithful than the teachers of the law and the Pharisees in doing what God requires (Matthew 5 vs. 17-20) - See Good News Bible.

Really, God wants us to keep his laws and his covenant, but you said no. “Oh that they had such a mind at this always to fear me and keep all my commandments that it may go well with them and with their children forever (Deuteronomy 5 vs. 29).

If we obey God's command then we are sure that we know Him, if someone says that he knows Him and do not obey HIS commands, such person is a liar and there is no truth in him, but whoever obeys his word is the one whose love for God has really been made perfect. This is how we can be sure that we are in union with God. Whoever said that he remains in union with God should live just as Jesus Christ did. Yes, because Jesus obeyed all God's commands (John 15 vs. 10-11) My dear friends, this command I am writing to you is not new; it is the old command, the ones you have had from the very beginning, the Old Command is the message you have already heard (l John 2 vs. 3-7) - See Good News Bible.

A man came to Jesus; Teacher, he asked, what good thing must I do to receive eternal life (Heaven)? Keep the commandment if you want to enter life. What commandment? He asked, Jesus answered:

Do not have any other god before me
Do not make for yourself images of any kind
Do not use my name in vain
Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy, you have six days to do your work, but on the seventh day is the day of rest dedicated to me God.
Honour your father and your mother
You shall not kill
You shall not commit adultery
You shall not steal
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour
You shall not covet your neighbour's belongings (Matthew 19 vs. 16-19)

The scripture says, whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all. For the one who said ‘Do not commit adultery’ also said, ‘Do not commit murder' and at the same place said 'remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.' Speak and act as people who will be judged by the law that sets us free (James 2 vs. 10-12) - See Good News Bible. The world is guilty of breaking them all because they worship God on Sunday, the first day of the week instead of Saturday, the seventh day of the week; For God created heaven and earth in six days and rested on the seventh day (Exodus 20 vs. 8-11, Exodus 20 vs. 1- 17) the ten commandment.

GOD'S CURSE ON THE EARTH
Because of the rebellious life of humanity on the earth today against God, that is why there are disasters like wars, famines, earthquakes, wild and hurricane winds, cyclone, flood, wild fire, sickness and death here and there which is as a result of the violations of his laws. The Lord said to his people, stand at the cross roads and look. Ask for the ancient paths and where the best road is, walk on it and you will live in peace. But they said no, we will not (Jeremiah 6 vs. 16) - See Good News Bible. The world said they will not. The Lord said 'I will bring disaster on the people of the earth and they will walk like the blind, because they have sinned against me. Their blood will be poured out like water and their dead bodies lie rotting on the ground.
Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the Lord's anger' (Zephaniah 1 vs. 17-18) - See Good News Bible.

The rich men by their wealth will not escape it. The people have defiled the earth by breaking God's laws by violating the covenant he made to last forever. So God has pronounced a curse on earth. Its people are paying for what they have done, fewer and fewer remain alive, statistically birth rate ought to be more than death rate, but now death rate is becoming more than birth rate because of God's anger (Isaiah 24 vs. 5-6) – See Good News Bible.

So I beg you my brethren, to turn to the real truth before you are caught up with God's anger or prey of it. Even our Lord Jesus warned; for truly I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot will pass from the law until the end of all things (Matthew 5 vs. 18). This calls for total carefulness on the side of the Christians concerning the law.

Almost all the days of the week, believers go to their fellowship centres to study the scripture. But in all, the real truth is far from them- Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3 vs. 7) - See KJV Bible. You study the scripture, because you think that in them you will find eternal life and these very scriptures speak about me! Yet you are not willing to come to me in order to have life (John 5 vs. 39). Yes, because they refused to come to him through the way he has chosen they rather worship him in the way they have chosen, which is human commandment (Titus 1 vs. 14).

This is why I speak in parables because looking, they will not see and listening, they will not hear nor do they understand. With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says: you shall indeed listen but never understand and you shall indeed look but never perceive. For this people's hearts grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing and their eyes, they have closed (Matthew 13 vs. 13-15). The scripture said today when you hear his voice; do not harden your heart (Hebrew 4 vs.7).

 PAUL’S METHOD OF WRITING
Paul, the former Saul of Tarsus was a fine writer of the words of God; an evangelist, a healer and an author of many books of the Bible. But his ways of preaching and writing are logical. (The dictionary meaning of logic is the ability to argue and convince). The Lord said I have made you a light of the gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth (Acts 13 vs. 47).

Any elected person from God is an instrument right from the mother's womb before he or she is born. Paul, as one of the instrument from God was called for the gentile nations (Acts 9 vs. 15). And as a legitimate lawyer, God knew he could make it; that is why he called him.

You know as gentile nations, they are nations that have got their own religion and tradition altogether and it is not easy for him to dabble into them easily, with a strange religion and tradition. Take for example, the epicurean and stoic philosophers encounter with Paul. They said, what does this blabber want to say? Others said; he seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods and new doctrines because he preached to them Jesus and Resurrection (Acts 17 vs. 18).

As his call was for the gentile nations, then he used lies, tricks and other means to convince them to believe him. As the Israelite lay siege to Paul, as a result of his preaching. He said I am a Jew; from Tarsus in Cilicia (Acts 21 vs. 39). In other time, he said: “is it legal for you to flog a Roman citizen” (Acts 22 vs. 25). In another occasion, he said: “my brothers; I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee (Acts 23 vs. 6-8).

Remember, these are nations of idol worshippers, that is, they are under Satan’s governance, which in fact will make them become die hard people. You know as a preacher, he cannot dabble into them easily if not with logic, tricks and lies in order to get them over.

In which if you are in his shoes, you will do the same. He said: “crafty fellow that I am; I caught you by trick (2 Corinthians 12 vs. 16) NIV Bible. Though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win more. To the Jews, I become like a Jew to win the Jew. To those under the law I become like one under the law so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law, I become like one not having the law though I am not free from God’s laws but under Christ’s law (I and my father are one (John 10 vs. 30) so as to win those not having the law. To the weak, I become weak to win the weak. I become all things to all men so that by all possible means, I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel that I may share in its blessing. (That is the aims of it coupled with the kingdom) 1 Corinthians 9 vs. 19-23.

He also said, it does not matter, I am happy about it so long as Christ is preached in every way possible, whether from wrong or right motives, I will continue to be happy (Philippians 1vs.18). With that, he went on preaching and writing words which most are contradicting in order to convince the gentile nations to know God.

He does this so that they will not see the strange religion and its laws as a burden, until he gradually and logically infuse the real truth into them through letters. To most of the believers, they did not know that most of his writings were meant for the gentiles and unbelievers in order to convince them to believing the words of God, which they felt he was condemning words of God, mostly the law, status and ordinances which God gave Moses at Mount Sinai, but in actual fact he was not condemning them.

He rather became logical in order to get what he wanted from them, in his words above, he said: "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some" (1 Corinthians 9 vs. 22). Do we, do away with the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law, he added (Romans 3 vs. 31).

In all, the leader of the apostles, Peter in his writing warned over most of Paul’s writing. He said: "bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also write to you according to the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking to them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are difficult to understand, which the ignorant and unstable people twist, as they do  to the other scripture to their own destruction (2 Peter 3 vs. 15-16).
These are the areas where readers of Paul's books of the bible have problem. It says most of his letters contain something that is difficult to understand, which you the reader needs spiritual knowledge to understand it. The bible is written by the inspiration of God and that inspiration, means written with spiritual direction, and you need spiritual knowledge to understand it.

WORDS OF PAUL
It does not matter! I am happy about it so long as Christ is preached in every way possible whether from wrong or right motives. And I will continue to be happy (Philippians 1 vs. 18)
Yet, crafty fellow that I am, I caught you by trick (2 Corinthians 12 vs. 16)
I am a free man. Nobody's slave, but I make myself every body's slave in order to win as many people as possible. While working with the Jews, I live like a Jew in order to win them, and even though I myself I am not subject to the law of Moses, I live as though I were when working with those who are in order to win them. In the same way, when working with gentiles, I live like a gentile, outside the Jewish law in order to win gentiles. This does not mean that I don't obey God's law. I am really under Christ's law. Among the weak in faith, I become weak like one of them in order to win them. So, I become all things to all that I might save some of them by whatever means possible (1Corinthians 9 vs. 19-23) - See Good News Bible.

The underlined words above prove that Paul obeyed God's law ranging from law, status and ordinances. Know it that Christ didn’t give a new list of law to Christendom, rather he ordered man to keep the law. He said, “If you want to enter life, obey the commandment (Matthew 19 vs. 17-19).

He also said; do not think I have come to do away with the law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true (Matthew 5:17). Paul said, what shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said" you shall not covet” (Romans 7 vs.7).

I do admit this to you; I worship the God of our ancestors by following that way which they say is false. But I also believe in everything written in the Law of Moses and the books of the prophets (Acts 24 vs. 14) – See Good News Bible. In all, he said, ‘therefore the law is and the commandment is holy, just and good (Rom 7 vs. 12-13).
WORDS OF PAUL THAT UPSET MOST PEOPLE
Paul’s words
1 A. Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we too have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law, no one will be justified (Galatians 2 vs. 16).
Answer to it
    B.  Know too that justification of a man in Christ Jesus by faith without the law and its observance makes no sense. Because the observances of the law are abstinences from sin that is the law that said thou shall not commit murder, adultery and not steal etc. Paul knowing the real truth said we uphold the law (Romans 3 vs. 31).
Paul’s words
2 A. For sin, shall not be your master because you are not under the law, but under the grace (Romans 6 vs. 14).
                                                Answer to it
B. What is grace? Grace is the mercy of God; we obtain from God through Christ Jesus from the shed of his blood on the cross of Calvary.
God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness (his love) Romans 3 vs. 25, while law is a laid down rule made by God in order to regulate man's life for him to be in harmony with God his maker. Paul then said what then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? God forbid (Rom. 6 vs. 15).
Paul’s words
3 A. By abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandment and regulation, his purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two (Ephesians 2 vs. 15).
Answer to it
B. Really his purpose was to create himself one new man out of the two. His death through the shed of his blood, was to set us free from the bondage of sin, to make us a new creature (2 Corinthians 5 vs. 17).We are a new creature indeed, through the renewal of the holy sprit the councilor, the holy spirit whom the father will send in my name will teach you all things (law) and will remind you of everything I have said (John 14 vs. 26).
Matthew 19 vs. 16-19, Exodus 20 vs. 1-17 and any of them you commit you are no more right or righteous. You are a sinner, a law breaker i.e. lawless person. Every one who sins breaks the law in fact sin is lawlessness (1 John 3 vs. 4), please, let no one lead you astray. He who does what is sinful is a transgressor.
Mark my words! (Paul saying) I, Paul tell you that if you let yourself be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again, I declare to every man who allows himself to be circumcised he is required to obey the whole law (Galatians 5 vs. 2-3).

If you study the underlined words thoroughly, you will understand that as long as you are circumcised, you are bound by law to keep the whole laws God gave to Moses. Jesus whose footsteps we are to follow said, whoever disobeys even the least important of the commandment and teaches others to do same will be least in the kingdom of heaven.

19-20). - See Good News Bible.

It is we not they who have received the true circumcision; we worship God by means of his spirit and rejoice in our life in union with Christ Jesus. We do not put any trust in external ceremonies. I could of course put my trust in such things, if anyone thinks he can trust in external ceremonies, I have even more reason to feel that way. I was circumcised when I was a week old. I am an Israelite by birth, of the tribe of Benjamin, a pure blooded Hebrew as far as keeping the Jewish law is concerned (Philippians 3 vs. 3-5, Acts 16 vs. 3).
                                                Paul’s words
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes (Romans 10 vs. 4)
                                                Answer to it
Christ is the end of the law in the sense that, whosoever that believes in him may have eternal life (John 3 vs. 15). Whoever is in Christ is a new creature, the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5 vs. 17), through the Holy Spirit, the Counselor, whom the father will send in my name will teach you all things (laws) and remind you of everything I said to you, reminding you to keep the law. Know that righteousness is keeping right with God through the observation of the law that said that thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not steal, etc. (Matthew 19 vs. 16-19, Exodus 20 vs. 1-17).
I do admit this to you; I worship the God of our ancestors by following that way which they say is false. But I also believe in everything written in the Law of Moses and the books of the prophets (Acts 24 vs. 14).
                                                Paul’s words
Therefore, let no one judge you by what you eat or drink or with regard to a religious festival, a new moon celebration of a Sabbath day. These are shadow of the things that were to come (Colossians 2 vs. 16).
                                                Answer to it
Shadows of the things to come can be seen as the kingdom to come. The way to the kingdom is righteousness. Righteousness is keeping right with God. How can one keep right with God? if not by observance of his laid down rule, which is the key to his soul. If the kingdom has a way to it or ladder to it, the law should be the steps. Law is the attribute of righteousness by its observance, and righteousness is abstinence from sin, while sin is act of lawlessness (1 John 3 vs. 4).
Paul according to his usual habit went to the synagogue. There during three Sabbath he held discussions with the People, quoting and explaining the scripture (Acts 17 vs. 2-3, 18 vs. 4).
                                              Paul’s words
Those of you who try to be put right with God by obeying the law have cut yourselves off from Christ. You are outside God’s grace (Galatians 5:4). Yes outside God's grace. Indeed.
Answer to it
What is grace? Grace as the name implies is the mercy of God we obtain from God through Christ Jesus, from the shed of his blood on the cross of Calvary (Colossians 1 vs. 20). When I see the blood, I will pass over you (Exodus 12: 13). That is, he will pass over our sin and will over look our trespasses and forgive us our sins (1 John 1:9). For all is still based on law and its observance, for lawlessness is sin (1 John 3 vs. 4).
How can one know he is a sinner, it is only when he trespasses the law; (with conscience at work) that he will know he is a sinner. Paul said, what shall we say, then, is the law sin? Certainly not. Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through law (Rom 7:7).

Other words of Paul
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law, for it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight. But it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous (Romans 2:13) - See Good News Bible.
1.      The sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law nor can it do so (Romans 8:7) NIV Bible.
After being away from Jerusalem for several years, I went there to take some money to my own people and to offer sacrifice (Acts 24:17-18, Acts 21:21-26) Good News Bible.
2. Circumcision has value, if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised (Romans 2:25) Good News Bible.
3.      For in my inner being, I delight in God's law (Romans 7:22) NIV Bible.
4.      Did that which is good, then become death to me, God forbid! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment, sin might become utterly sinful (Romans 7:13) NIV Bible.
5. For through the law, I died to the law so that I might live for God (Galatians 2:19).
6. But when the time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law that we might receive the full right of sons because we are sons. God sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, which involves anybody that is of Christ Jesus (Galatians 4:4-5).
7. We know that law is good if one used it properly. We also know that law is not for the righteous but for law breakers, rebels, ungodly, sinful, unholy, unreligious; for those who kill fathers and mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers and whatever, else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me (1 Timothy 1:8-11). He said, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) NIV Bible.
8. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous (Romans 2:13).
9. I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city under Gamaliel; I was thoroughly trained in the law of our fathers and was zealous for God as any of you are today (Acts 22:3).
10. For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law (Galatians 3:21) Good News Bible.
11. Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather through the law we become conscious of sin (Romans 3: 19-20).
12. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel which is really no gospel at all. Evidently, some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to prevent the real gospel of God (Galatians 1:6-7).
13. Therefore, dear friends since you already know the truth, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, to him be the glory both now and forever (2 Peter 3:17-18).

I the writer of this article of faith and true doctrine, I am not trying to condemn the words of Paul, rather my objectives is to create awareness in his method of writing so that you will not trust it to your own destruction but be saved (2 Peter 3:15-16).

Keeping the law gives us life, brings us closer to God, renews and strengthens our covenant with God and it also makes us stronger and bolder than Satan and his agents. The Lord in his anger said they rebelled against my ordinances and were not careful to keep my laws and commands by whose observance man will live; they defile my Sabbath, I was ready to make them feel the force of my anger (Ezekiel 20:21).

ON GAY MARRIAGE
World leaders should be very careful in advocating for gay-marriage. They are trying to bring God’s anger on themselves and on those they govern and on those nations they are instigating to do same.
This is the sole reason why God Almighty destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:4-11, 23-29). The world should understand that the natural disasters all over the earth are as a result of man’s disobedience to God’s laws and his covenant Isaiah 24-5-6.

Note: The world will never ever know peace, rest or joy until they turn back to God completely by obeying the laws God gave to Moses which Jesus did not abolish (Matthew 5:17-20, Luke 16:16-17, John 1:17, John 7:16-19, John 7:49, John 5:45-47, Matthew 19:16-19, John 12:47-50, John 15:10-11, 1 John 2:3-7, 2 John 9:11, John 5:39-40, 2 Timothy 3:7, Matthew 13:13-15, 2 Timothy 4:3-4).
For your spiritual guidance and counseling, come and see our seer, the man of God (1 Samuel 9:5-7). We worship God by means of his spirit Philippians 3:3 Good News Bible. Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18) King James Version. My people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6)
