36 HEARTY CHEERS TO REV. (BARR.) JOHN C. OGUAJU

36 HEARTY CHEERS TO A REVEREND GENTLEMAN
BY IKENNA ASOMBA

Cohen Gadol, John Oguaju
...the Reverend Gentleman
It was a fateful Wednesday of October 10, 1977, coincidentally, the day God Almighty created light and separated it from darkness, that a loud cry--- uwaa! uwaa! uwaa! sounded in the house of Most Reverend Jude Peter Oguaju (Jude Okporo) of Blessed Memory, the Founder of House of Prayer Sabbath Mission (HPSM) Worldwide, Okporo Headquarters, Orlu Imo State, Nigeria.

The joy of that fateful day knew no bounds, as faithfuls rejoiced and merried, even unto the Sabbath, which was three days ahead. The baby boy that visited was Master John Jude Peters Chukwuakochalam Oguaju (Jr.) The little John was the first male to open the womb of Shepherd Mother Charity Oguaju, the first wife of “Jude Okporo.” Rev. Jude Oguaju got married to two wives, with the second wife, Archmother Chiwendu Oguaju, now of blessed memory.

Today, Saturday, October 10, 2013, Rev. John Oguaju, the General Overseer/High Priest (Cohen Gadol) of House of Prayer International Covenant Church (HPICC), Okporo Headquarters, Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria, is 36.

Foremost, a Happy, Resounding 36 Hearty Cheers to him!

Brief Biography

Education
Born 36 years ago, the young Reverend Gentleman, attended the prestigious Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, where he bagged a 2nd Class Upper Honours in Law. He proceeded to the Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos, for his one year compulsory training.

The Divine Call
...the flocks he leads
As the first born male of “Jude Okporo” of blessed memory, the young, energetic Barrister, who was ready-made for a call to the bar, to explore the gamut and labyrinth of the revered profession, had what many, including himself called a “DIVINE SWAP,” which incidentally 'scuttled' his lofty dream of practicing Law in the highly competitive Nigerian Judicial System (NJS). With the glorious home call of his father, Rev. Jude Oguaju, after having served, ministered and won souls for the Almighty Yahweh for 40 years (1966-2006), the divine mantle fell on the young John.

Jude Okporo joined his Creator like the biblical Moses after 40 years of divine ministration on Sunday, July 23, 2006. Significantly, his death never disrupted the sacred day of rest--- the 7th day Sabbath, which he observed and celebrated with faithfuls, who were oblivious of his DIVINE HOME CALL, the previous day.

Also, reminiscences of the Home Call was that the Reverend Gentleman, celebrated the April 2006 Feast of Passover and the Church's memorial July 18 celebration with faithfuls. He caught them unaware with his home call. Although, he had always proverbially told faithfuls in his last days of public appearances that he was going to rest soonest. Expectedly, God forbid! God forbid! usually rented the atmosphere during these nostalgic days.

Enter John Oguaju
Just like it was in the time of Moses, when he joined his Creator on Mount Pisgah, prompting Joshua, the son of Nun to take-over the mantle of leading Israel, to the promise land, the gentle, energetic Barrister, took over the divine mantle to lead HPSM, now HPICC to its promise land.

Rev. John C. Oguaju was memorably and formally dedicated to active service as General Overseer/High Priest (Cohen Gadol) on Saturday, March 17, 2007. On this day, he was bestowed with the divine privilege cum call to lead no fewer than 20,000 flocks of Yahweh Almighty to the promise land, just like Joshua.

It's worthwhile to remind us that Rev. (Barr.) John Oguaju had this March and September 2013 respectively made his 7th glorious outing to the Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread (Pesach) and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). Coming onto the pedestal of leadership with fire-brand reforms and others underway, towards a transformable HPICC, where SPIRITUAL EXCELLENCE will be the watchword, the future is indeed bright.

Once again, this day, the Reverend Gentleman, John Jude Peters Chukwuakochalam Oguaju (Jr), General Overseer/High Priest (Cohen Gadol) of House of Prayer International Covenant Church, Okporo Headquarters, Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria, is 36.

HAPPY 36 HEARTY CHEERS TO YOU OUR G.O. !
WISHING YOU SOUND HEALTH, LONG LIFE, WISDOM AND PROSPERITY!
YOU SHALL LEAD HPICC TO THE PROMISE LAND!
