As the 2013 feast of Passover/Unleavened Bread draws near, House of Prayer International (HPI), Umudim, Okpor-Orlu, Imo State of Nigeria, joins the rest of the World to the sacred festival at its Headquarters between March 24 and 31.
According to the General Chairman, HPI, Elder
(Engr.) Steve Kanu, the religious festival held annually is to run
concurrently for 8 days beginning and ending with a holy convocation
on Sunday, March 24 and 31 respectively.
He said: “Pilgrims within and outside the country
will start arriving on March 22 for the festival celebrated annually
in commemoration of the freedom the Israelites had from the land of
Egypt. We are celebrating this feast because it has been commanded by
God Almighty in the holy scripture of Exodus 12v.17 that all mankind
should celebrate it for perpetuity.”
Kanu added that features of the festival are “the
slaughtering and eating of the Passover lamb, Holy Communion, sermon,
lectures, prayers and counseling, deliverance from all satanic
manipulations, worship and praises, drama, singing, bible quiz,
evangelism and debate competitions amongst others.”
NB: Expect more details on the feast about to be celebrated by HPI.
